Thing-Things are the name given to all the characters in the series. They all look the same (unless with different costumes)- a grey head with floating limbs/body. They can be numerous things- Guards, etc. Robots like Poseidon, Zeus, and Hades are all Thing-Things (although they look radically different). Thing-Things can also have human traits like hair and clothes. Through the games, it is shown that Thing-Thing's possess a mouth and internal anatomy. Due to the primitive nature of the engines these games were made on, these are not witnessed during gameplay, only cutscenes.

- They have a similar design to famous videogame character, Rayman, sporting similar disembodied, floating limbs.
- Many have looked upon them with negative feedback, stating that they have attempted to copy Grunts from the Madness Combat series.
- This is a pretty redundant claim and reason to dislike them, as they don't bare much similarities - with both also serving different purposes.
