The Heckler & Koch G36 is the main service rifle of the German Army, developed in the 1990s to replace the older HK G3 and is chambered for 5.56x45mm NATO ammunition.

The weapon can only be unlocked by activating the game's cheat code in the main menu before starting. It has high power and rate of fire.

It is given to the player after the second mission. In comparison with the GIAT Famas (the other assault rifle in the game), it shoots slower but is easier to control.

- Although the G36 appears to lack a stock in Thing-Thing, it actually has a foldable stock to improve its use in close-quarters combat.
