The Gauss Shotgun is a pump action shotgun.
Thing-Thing 4[]
Its only appearance is in Thing-Thing 4, where it is found in Genetics Lab 2, alongside the Laser Cannon and XM-345 Skull Drill. It uses its own ammo type, the Gauss Shotgun ammo. It fires 6 blue pellets that deal heavy damage and leave trails of blood. It has high recoil.

- The gun is based on the gauss cannon, a weapon designed by the mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauss, which uses magnetic acceleration to propel a metal projectile. The projectile of such a weapon can reach over 6600 kph, making it extremely deadly. This concept has never been realised outsude of a laboratory, however. Due to the nature of the design, a gauss shotgun is quite impractical—and certainly one with the level of spread demonstrated in the Thing-Thing 4 version.
