The Gauss Gun is a weapon featured in Thing-Thing Arena 2 and Thing-Thing Arena Pro/Classic

Overview[]

Real weapon[]

Gauss hypotetical cannon is a weapon that use potencial force from magnetic atraction/repelion, able to shot metal proyectiles at extremly velocity. US Army created a cannon to their warships, able to shot tungstene proyectiles at over 1900 m/s making it plasmatic, being more powerful than any other sinetic weapon, but the damage to the barrel was too high and the energy requiered also was too much.

Some other handable cannons were made, but all have the same problems.

Thing-Thing Arena 2[]

The Gauss Gun has a very slow rate of fire. It shoots beams that travel across the screen almost instantly and pierce enemies, creating large amount of blood. When picked up, it has 25 shots.

Thing-Thing Arena Pro/Classic[]

Presented as Gauss Rifle, is also a devastating weapon. The amount of energy charged into the shot after firing depends on how long you let it charge, same as Gauss Pistol, but taking more time and being more powerful. To unlock this weapon in Pro, you must complete every objective in the Service Tunnel.

Trivia[]

  • The gun is based on the gauss cannon, a weapon made by Carl Friedrich Gauss, a mathematical, and use magnetic acceleration to through a metallic munition over 6600 km/h, making it extremely fast and deadly. This gun have never been created as a real gun out of laboratories.
  • The Gauss Gun is the first gauss weapon in Thing-Thing, with the next 3 being the Gauss Pistol and Gauss Shotgun.
